How much does a platform stairlift cost?

As every staircase is different, the cost of a platform stairlift can only be accurately determined once we know the shape of the staircase. Therefore, it is important to obtain a video or photos of it. General considerations are:

• Is the installation inside or outside?
• Is the staircase straight or curved? How many bends are required?
• How long is the staircase? How many floors need to be served?
• Can the guide rail be fixed directly to the wall or to free-standing posts?

As a general rule, prices for a platform stairlift, including delivery and installation, start at around € 9,000 for a simple straight staircase.

Can your platform stairlifts transport electric wheelchairs?

Yes, the platform lifts from Lehner Lifttechnik generally have a load capacity of up to 300 kg and a maximum platform size of 900 x 1300 mm. Therefore, our lifts can definitely transport all types of electric wheelchairs.
 

How long is the delivery time for a stairlift?

As this is a custom-made product, the production time again depends on the complexity of the lift. In general, straight lifts can be completed within 2 weeks, while curved lifts can take around 5 weeks to manufacture.
 

How long does it usually take to install a stairlift?

The installation of a platform stairlift for straight stairs usually takes 5-8 hours, depending on the type of attachment.
 

Can the rail be produced in different colors?

With our powder coating system, we can paint the rail in any color. Optionally, we can also supply the rails with a natural aluminum or a shiny, high-quality stainless steel surface!

Can people without a wheelchair also use the lift?

Anyone can be transported with our stairlifts. A folding chair can be provided for people without a wheelchair. A platform stairlift is therefore the better alternative to a conventional seated stairlift. The lift can be used to transport groceries or luggage together with the passenger!

As people are living longer every day, more and more people are becoming wheelchair bound in the later stages of life. Therefore, as soon as a stairlift becomes necessary, you should consider getting a platform lift already rather than making two substantial investments over time.

How does a platform stairlift work?

The Delta stairlift is powered by on-board batteries that drive a 24V DC motor. The batteries are automatically recharged at every landing.

What is the service life of a platform stairlift?

Depending on use and maintenance intervals, the average service life of an elevator can be estimated at 25 years.

How is the elevator controlled?

The platform is equipped with up and down buttons and an emergency stop and alarm button. A wireless control station is provided for each landing (these are either wall-mounted or portable) to call and send the elevator from the landings.

Are your platform stairlifts suitable for outdoor installation?

All our elevators are easily installed outdoors. For outdoor stairlifts, we galvanize the metal parts, supply stainless steel or aluminium parts and provide a special cover to protect the platform from severe weather conditions when parked during periods of non-use.

How many years warranty is given for a stairlift?

Lehner Lifttechnik offers a 2 year warranty as standard on each of our products.
